More Clubs
Clubs are offered every term at no additional cost to parents and are run by CGS staff. Clubs vary and are held before and after school or during lunch hour. Cross Country is on the schedule every fall and Track and Field is a staple in the third term. Principal’s Club is offered every term. Past clubs include Jewellery Making, Lego Robotics and The Good Cheer Club. Students are encouraged to attend at least one club per term.

Glee Club Grades 1 – 3
Tuesdays 3:40 – 4:10pm
The CGS Glee Club, now in its’ third year, is an opportunity for students from Grades 1-3 to hone their vocal music and performance skills in an exciting, non-competitive and risk-free environment. Our work culminates at the annual CGS Talent Show on February 21st with what is sure to be a show-stopping performance!
Because I am a Girl SK – Grade 3
Fridays Noon – 12:30pm
Back by popular demand, we are continuing Girls’ Club again this year. What a turn out! Our CGS girls continue to show true commitment and compassion for their fellow girls. In the Because I am a Girl Club, we strive to provide an environment in which the girls of CGS may broaden their knowledge of their impact on the world. We also empower the girls to make choices which benefit themselves, their peers and girls in other communities. Whether this is in deciding the weekly club activities, or helping to write a letter to our sponsor child, CGS girls are learning what Girl Power can really mean!
Soccer Club JK/SK
Tuesdays 8:25 – 8:55am
The Soccer Club meets bright and early in the gym for a great morning of exercise, skill building and teamwork.
Principal’s Club Grades 1 – 3
Wednesdays 3:40 – 4:10pm
Principal’s Club is a place where students learn that they can make a difference in the world. Members take active steps to affect positive change, both globally and locally. Members create wares to sell and hold fundraising events to generate money for their chosen cause. Principal’s Club is offered every Term and is a very important part of school life at CGS.
Basketball Club Grades 1 – 3
Wednesdays 8:00 – 8:30am
The Basketball Club meets bright and early in the gym for a great morning of shooting hoops and lots of exercise.
Computer Club JK/SK
Wednesdays 3:40 – 4:10pm
Students in the JK/SK Computer Club will be using the program Kid Pix to gain computer skills and to produce a variety of different creative masterpieces. They will learn to draw, paint, use clip art and backgrounds and make creative pictures. The club will culminate in an art show display on the downstairs bulletin board where they can showcase their work to their friends and parents.
