Early Start Ice Science

The Early Starts became little scientists this week, discovering what happens to snow and ice. They observed what happens to water when it is put in the freezer. The children explored the resulting ice as a sensory activity one morning in the classroom as they touched and played with the ice cubes. Many observations were made as the ice started to melt. Our little scientists came up with several adjectives to describe what was happening. The children extended their learning by creating a pop-up puppet to go along with the poem, “I’m a Little Ice Cube!’ Continue to watch for more exciting winter activities in the coming weeks.
