Prehistoric Pals in SK

The SK’s recently started their ‘Prehistoric Pals’ unit. They loved it! The children learned about different dinosaurs and their specific characteristics. They learned the meaning of all sorts of big words like herbivore, carnivore, extinct and paleontologist. Did you know that dinosaur means ‘terrible lizard’ or ‘fearfully-great lizard’? Or that a flying dinosaur is called a pterosaur? The highlight of the classroom dino exploration was definitely making their own dinosaur fossils. The children made the dough out of salt, flour and water. It was a great hands-on activity for the children. George and Sophia also wanted to make sure that I told you that dinosaurs lived millions of years ago!
