Terry Fox Lives Here!
Always a special day on our school calendar, last Friday’s Terry Fox Walk was no exception. Our 25th year of celebrating our Canadian hero, Terry Fox, and carrying on his Marathon of Hope, was a stellar one that we can all be very proud of. From the sun coming out after a whole night of rain, to the sea of Terry shirts we were treated to as we walked into the gym, to our CGS dancers showing us their moves, to Fred Fox’s very personalized video for our community, to our new clapping cheer, the stage was set for the most perfect Terry day.
Many thanks to Liz, Tony, Zandée and their supportive team of teachers for embracing the importance of this day to our CGS community and going the extra mile to ensure the day went off without a hitch. Having almost 100% parent/family participation in the walk this year was something very heart-warming to see. Our community came together to make sure everyone knows that Terry Fox lives at CGS. Kudos to all of you.
We are getting very close to our goal and hope that this last little push for donations will take us there. If you haven’t already donated, please do so before the end of this weekend. Our school shines brightly after such an incredible Terry Fox Day.
