A Pioneer Christmas
The JK and SK classes had an amazing trip to Pioneer Village last Friday. It was a stunning, snowy day, perfect to be outdoors. The children learned all about life in Pioneer times – how houses were heated, how to make wool and churn butter. They made cookies and loaves in the wood stove and visited the wood shop to do some carving. They met sheep and horses and touched the furs that line the sleigh to keep passengers warm. There was so much to explore. Going from building to building also meant lots of time outside to play in the snow. Thank you to our parent volunteers who came along to help the trip ruin smoothly. We hope you loved it as much as the kids did!
