Congratulations to everyone for a school year well lived! Time flies ever faster it seems, but not so fast that we can’t capture the memories along the way. The Final Assembly is such a nice opportunity to look back over the year and celebrate all that we have achieved as a community. Whether it be watching the graduates walk down the aisle, marvelling at the amount of money raised by The Principal’s Club for Children of Hope Uganda, seeing how awesome the Norval sleepover was, finding out which House won the most points, celebrating big anniversaries or enjoying the beaming faces of the little ones called up for special mention, this morning brings us all together to mark the end of the year and make one last CGS memory before we head our separate ways for the summer. Thank you for spending the morning with us. Thank you to the PA for sponsoring the ice cream truck again this year too!
We wish everyone a safe and happy break and look forward to seeing you back in September. For those of you moving on to new schools and new adventures – we will miss you!

I thought I would leave you with the quote from Marie’s final remarks ~
Do not ask your children
to strive for extraordinary lives.
Such striving may seem admirable,
but it is a way of foolishness.
Help them instead to find wonder
and the marvel of an ordinary life.
Show them the joy of tasting
tomatoes, apples, and pears.
Show then how to cry
when pets and people die.
Show them the infinite pleasure
in the touch of a hand.
And make the ordinary come alive for them.
The extraordinary will take care of itself
~ William Martin
