Arctic Animals in Early Start

The Early Start children were introduced to the theme of  “Arctic Animals” this week. They listened to stories and we had many class discussions about animals living in this cold, wintry place. The children were asked to classify different animals into two categories: animals that live in the Arctic and animals that do not live in the Arctic. The children took on this challenge and worked as a team to place the animals into the correct categories. The children also had the opportunity to work on one-to-one counting with Arctic animals. Over the next few weeks we will continue to learn about animals that have to survive in cold weather. The Early Start children are looking forward to our exciting science activity in the coming week.
