Barb is Back!

We are excited once again to welcome a very special alumni grandmother to our classroom. Barb Cooke, a CGS grandma from a few years back and a former teacher, will be joining the JK’s each Thursday afternoon for some one-on-one reading time. Barb brings with her much kindness and years of teaching experience. Barb will be reading CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) flash cards and levelled readers with the students. The children will also be matching objects to the appropriate sound cards at Barb’s reading table. It is always a pleasure to have Barb in the classroom – she loves to see the growth and improvement from week to week and looks forward to working with all of the JK’s over the coming weeks.
