Book in a Box

     

Instead of assigning a traditional book report to the students last week, we decided to change it up and do a “Book in a Box.” We asked the students to read a book, and then decorate a box so that it represented the story they read. They were asked to find items around their home (or print/ create items if they didn’t have any at home) that relate to the story – taking into consideration the characters, the setting, the events, etc. (all of the story elements). They also had to write a few sentences about each item to describe how the item related to the story. The students had a week to complete their Book in a Box and they presented them this past Monday. Well done Grade 2/3!
