Celebrating Vaisakhi in JK

There are many different cultures represented at CGS and we are always so happy when parents are able to share their culture with our students. April 13th was Vaisakhi, the most important day in the Sikh calendar. It is a harvest festival in the Punjab region which marks the birth of the Khalsa in the year 1699. The Khalsa represents Sikh values of bravery and equality. Thank you to Sonu (Deva’s mum) for bringing this very interesting and inspiring information to school. Do you have anything you want to share? Please let your classroom teacher know if you would like to come in.
