Come Hungry!
Come hungry! The food at the Gala on April 27th is going to be plentiful and delicious! If you haven’t been to Bar Buca on Eglinton before, you are in for an amazing treat. Dress for the event is smart/casual so there’s no reason to fret about finding a ball gown or a fancy suit to wear. Just come for a great night out with friends and CGS staff. The teachers are looking forward to seeing you all there.
The funds raised from past Galas (held every two years) benefit all CGS students – past, present and future. Without the support of our parent community essential improvements at CGS would not be possible. Examples include the renovated playground (2018), the new gym floor (2016), the computer lab (2014) and our SMART Boards (2012). These projects are larger capital improvements, not covered by your Foundation donation when you register your child. We’re very excited about our current plans to refurbish the stage. Our fundraising goal is $30,000. If the stage refurbishment doesn’t require this full amount, funds raised will also be used to purchase more Natural Pod furniture for our classrooms. Check out the Grade 1 and Grade 2/3 classrooms to see this flexible, modern furniture already in use.
The Gala is a financially productive AND extremely fun night. Please join us and make some lifelong CGS memories. Thank you for being an active member of the CGS community. We appreciate your support very much.
