Dino STEAM in SK

SK loves STEAM and they haven’t lost their passion for it since being at home. They have been focussing on dinosaurs in their Science classes and this was their second STEAM challenge in the last few weeks. (The 1st involved creating salt dough fossils.) This time, students had to create their own dinosaur using pasta or any other available resources like sunflower seeds, play dough, marshmallows, or straws, etc. It could be real or imaginary. Students had to say which dinosaur inspired their creation. The dinosaur unit has been very full, activities included individual Dinosaur reporting, the differences between Pterosaurs, Ichthyosaurs, Plesiosaurs and dinosaurs, Paleontologist discoveries, and Pre-historic life. Completed projects were shared during open access where the SK’s brought them to life! They had to share lots of fun details about their dinos Were their horns and claws for defense? Was their dino a carnivore, omnivore, herbivore, or gastrolith? Did it run on two feet or four? Great investigating SK!
