The Grade One‘s learned about the origins of Diwali and listened to stories about how other children celebrate this important festival in the Hindu calendar. They learned that Diwali is also known as the “Festival of Lights” and created their very own Diyas, which are oil lamps, so they could participate in the celebrations as well!
Grade 2

Grade 3&4
Taylor placed Diwali information around the Grade 3&4 classroom. The students went around the room and gathered information pieces for their own page.
