Grade 2 Spotlight

Our grade 2 students have been working on a big Social Studies project as part of their Families and Heritage unit. After talking about the things that are important to families, students worked on an activity about a celebration that is important to their family. The end product was a miniature parade float, designed to illustrate their chosen celebration. The end results are very impressive, but the brainstorming, planning, and writing completed beforehand were equally impressive. Students thought carefully about what they wanted to represent about their celebration and how they would do that. The students rose to the challenge of creating their floats and we are very proud of their hard work!
