Happy As a Hippo at the Toronto Zoo!

Lions and Tigers and Rhinos- Oh my! Our JK to Grade 1 students adventured to the Toronto Zoo last Friday to visit and learn about all the different animals in the world!

The Toronto Zoo hosts over 3000 animals represented through over 300 different species and our students explored the grounds in small groups with teachers and parent volunteers trying to meet them all! The Zoo guides took our student groups all over the grounds educating everyone on the animals they saw. There were also indoor stations where the students enjoyed molding animals they saw with playdough, and also got to relax for story time! The students also enjoyed a great picnic lunch at the zoo. From snakes and chameleons to hippos and giraffes, our JK to Grade 1 students learned all about different animals from all over the world and had the best of fun. Fan favourites were the rhinos, hippos, orangutangs, and gorillas!

A full day of walking the zoo grounds and meeting all the new animal friends was definitely a highlight for our students and boy did it tucker them out! Have a look at their yearend field trip zoo adventure!
