Have You Heard of Jitter Juice?

New experiences and unfamiliar territory can be a little bit scary but a little bit exciting, too! Yesterday, the Grade Ones read First Day Jitters by Julie Danneberg. The story tells the story of Sarah and her feelings about starting at a new school. Sarah feels nervous and doesn’t want to get out of bed or eat breakfast, she feels embarrassed when she arrives at her new school, and feels shy when she meets her new principal. At the end of the story, we find out that Sarah is starting at a new school as a teacher! Everyone feels the jitters on the first day of school, but there is a solution…Jitter Juice! The Grade Ones were all smiles as they drank some Jitter Juice and read a little poem…
Have you heard of Jitter Juice?
It’s magic and it’s yummy!
It makes the butterflies fly away,
Right out of my tummy!
The bubbles in this silly juice
Will help you not to worry.
So grab a cup and drink it up!
Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!
