Holiday Outreach

Our CGS Holiday Outreach was a huge success! This annual event is an important part of our year and something that we always look forward to. Every year our holiday outreach supports a charitable organization that is working in the community. This year we supported Project Confetti, an organization that spreads kindness like confetti! Our contribution to Project Confetti was to fill gift boxes to be distributed at The Children’s Unit at Markham Stouffville Hospital. In the weeks leading up to the Holiday Outreach evening, the very generous CGS community brought in toys, games, puzzles, books, art supplies, and toiletries to go in the gift boxes.

On our Holiday Outreach evening, students and staff stayed at school for a party! We used some of this time to decorate the boxes to be filled with gifts. The students did a great job of making the boxes look cheerful and inviting. We loved watching our older students step into a leadership role and help out the younger students.

We also had a dance party, ate pizza together, and watched a movie. We love when we are able to get together as a school to spend time together, especially in support of a great cause!
