January Optimism Wrap-Up

The Early Start class wrapped up ‘Optimism January’ by finishing their Optimism checklist and their special character trait art project.

As wrap up to their month of Optimism the JK class spent their Fun Fact Friday talking about their amazing birthday parties and a beautiful little sister!

The CGS February character trait is ‘Thoughtfulness’. There will be so many opportunities to exercise thoughtfulness in big ways with Valentine’s Day, Family Day and Pink Shirt Day all falling in the month of February. However, it’s sometimes the small things that make the biggest impact. Let’s think about ways we can practice thoughtfulness in those unexpected moments.

We are looking forward to Lunar New Year starting next week. CGS has been busy preparing for the celebrations. Some of our students even took advantage of ‘Free Dress Friday’ to get into the Lunar New Year spirit.

During the month of February CGS will be highlighting Black History. There will be large scale special events as well as ongoing emphasis in our class curriculum and discussions throughout the month.
