Kiwanis Kids
Last week, eleven of my piano and voice students competed in the Toronto Kiwanis Festival. The festival is a wonderful opportunity for students to perform songs for a large audience. Following their performance, an adjudicator awarded students a mark out of 100 for their performance and provided feedback on what each student did well and could improve on. Students have been working on their songs for several months, paying special attention to dynamics, articulation, and musicality. Their hard work certainly paid off as all of our CGS students achieved extremely high marks and many were awarded first, second, and third place in their category. Most importantly, however, students reported back that it was a fun and exciting experience and that they hoped to do it again next year. Congratulations to all students who participated! We are so proud of you for your hard work and bravery!
