Looking to the Skies
The Grade 1 class visited the Science Centre this week and attended the Planetarium Program called “The Night’s Sky”. The children enjoyed ‘travelling’ to the dark countryside and being surrounded by stars and other visible objects in the night sky. They also explored the phases of the moon as it orbits the Earth, listened to constellation stories and even visited the Moon and Saturn. Their instructor Martin was blown away by how much the children knew about space and couldn’t believe that they were only in Grade 1! We couldn’t have been more proud of what an incredible job the children did during our visit. As a special treat we also visited the Kidspark area of the Science Centre and had a blast exploring the various exhibits.
