Mindfulness Workshop for Parents

Mindfulness is a way of befriending ourselves and our experience.
~ Jon Kabat-Zinn

Some of you may recognize this quote from our school calendar. September is Mindfulness Month at CGS and the CGS PA is always looking for ways to support and enhance the curriculum. With this in mind, way back in June, the PA booked Sarah Kratfchuk, a local mindfulness practitioner, to create an evening workshop for parents and an in-school day of mindfulness activities for the children. The PA is looking forward to welcoming Sarah on Monday, September 25, from 6-8pm.

Childcare will be provided. Please let us know if you will be bringing your children. Siblings are welcome. Light refreshments will also be served for the parents so if you don’t have time for dinner before you come, the PA will have something for your belly! RSVP today.

This workshop, hosted by educators Sarah & Dani Kraftchuk, will provide you with fun and interactive tools to explore mindfulness at home as a family. Learn strategies to create space for compassionate and conscious connection with yourself and your loved ones.

Sarah is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, meditation & yoga teacher and author.
Dani specializes in supporting mental health for children, youth and families through therapeutic yoga, mindfulness and Reiki.

Each family attending will receive a signed copy of Sarah Kraftchuk’s best selling book Love To Be Me! (The workshop will include ways to explore mindfulness and movement using the book.) Sarah’s other titles will be available for purchase on September 25th as well. If you would like to order books in advance, order forms were sent home in Friday Files today. (Books will be on display in the office on Monday.)

Don’t miss this opportunity to share in the learning with your children.
We hope to see you there!
