Mums and Dads at School
Over the last few weeks, our Grade 2 and Grade 3 parents have been making guest appearances in the classroom and it’s been a seasonal celebration for everyone involved!
As parents, you are your child’s primary educator. You influence their thoughts and impressions of school, their interest in learning, and you help set them up for success. Your involvement provides them with an important foundation for success in their education, and in life.
The children have been asking to have their parents visit the classroom, so we invited them to join us in our Countdown to Christmas! It has been an incredible opportunity for parents to be involved in a seasonal activity.
Each parent visited the classroom to lead a festive activity, like reading a story, followed by a related craft or snack.
Our Grade 2’s and 3’s are also researching “holidays around the world” and how different cultures and countries celebrate with varied traditions. Ask your student what they’ve learned so far, and how you can share in these international traditions, too!
