Mums and Dads Hit the Ice
Our family skate at the Forest Hill rink last Friday was a great success. The Grade 1-4 students have been taking skating lessons there since September. There were four skating groups for the lessons, ranging from first-timers to seasoned skaters. It was amazing to see the progress from the first week to our final skating lesson. Everyone gained more confidence in their skating ability and took something valuable away from the lessons. We would like to say a huge thank you to the Performance Skating instructors. They were always so encouraging and gave great instruction. As per CGS tradition, the kids were joined by parents on the ice for the last skating lesson. It was so exciting for the children and gave them a chance to show off their new skills. Everyone had so much fun and the half hour flew by! On behalf of the Grade 1-4 teachers, I would like to say a huge thank you to the parents who helped out over the eight weeks. Skiing at Earl Bales is up next for the students in January. Exciting times ahead!
