The SK’s treated us to a fantastic Assembly on Thursday. Their dramatization of the story of the Boy Who Cried Wolf was a really fun way to demonstrate how our actions have consequences and that taking responsibility is very important. Thank you to Paula and Michelle L for taking such a creative approach to their character trait. Thank you to Lauren as well for the inspiring songs. It was also lovely to include an acknowledgement of the April 11 anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.
Congratulations to Gavin, the winner of this year’s Public Speaking Contest, for another successful delivery of his speech on the topic of internet and video game addiction. After the very capable narration we saw from the SK’s during the Assembly I think we have several serious contenders for Public Speaking 2018!
Finally, thank you to Dayna, Secretary of the CGS Foundation, for sharing the incredibly exciting news that the CGS community raised $33,000 at the Gala last Saturday. Amazing! All of the funds raised will go towards the playground enhancement, scheduled to be done this summer. THANK YOU.
