NEW Faces at CGS

You’ve probably noticed some new faces around CGS. Thanks to a collaboration with Seneca Polytechnic, we were able to offer two Student Educator Placements in our school through early April.

Welcome Tram and Welcome Krestine! Tram and Krestine will be working with Field Mentors Julia, (CGS SK Classroom) and Liz, (CGS Early Start Classroom) to observe, question, analyze and reflect upon teaching styles in order to gain experience in the classroom. If you have an SK or an Early Start student, you’ve probably heard about Krestine and Tram. The CGS kids have fully embraced both student educators and they are often seen with a group of students surrounding them with energy and attention.

from Tram: “Hi to all the parents! I hope you’re doing well and having a great day.

I am studying Early Childhood Education and want to apply what I have learned from Seneca. The students at CGS are very smart, well-mannered, and cooperative. It’s a pleasure to work with such dedicated and respectful individuals. A placement at CGS is valuable to me because it will give me real-world experience and help me grow in my career.”

from Krestine: “My Field Placement at CGS has been a wonderful experience so far. I’m enjoying the chance to work with the kids and staff — every day brings new learning and joy. I’m passionate about becoming an educator who creates a positive, welcoming space where children feel safe to explore and grow. Early childhood is such a special time, and I love the idea of sparking a love for learning and creativity in young minds. I believe building strong connections with families is key. I’m grateful for the chance to grow, learn, and develop the skills I need to help children thrive during these foundational years.

Please welcome Tram and Krestine as you see them around our school!
