Olympic Day 2023

You know that the school year is winding down when Olympic Day pops up on the CGS calendar! We were treated to a hot and sunny day, for the event, last Friday and a great time was had by all. The Early Start and JK students stayed close to home and enjoyed their Olympic Day stations on the school property while the SK through Grade 4 students headed over to Trace Manes Park for the morning.

The Early Start and JK friends had fun completing an obstacles course, before rotating through building, creative water painting, hopscotch, and bubble stations. The groups all joined together for a session of freeze dance and the school cheer! They all had so much fun.

Thanks to Tony and Holly Beth everything ran like a well-oiled machine over at the park as the students participated on mixed aged teams. Everything from Obstacle Courses to Bubble Ninjas to Relay Races and Tennis Ball Grab and Go were on the agenda for the morning and, as always, the snack station was very popular. The morning finished with a Ribbon Presentation and the walk back to the school. The students were more than ready for their pizza lunch that was waiting for them at school and were overjoyed with the surprise of a parent sponsored Ice Cream Truck at the end of the day.

What a day we had. As the end of the school year approaches the CGS Staff and Parents are truly Ambassadors of Fun! We are all so lucky.
