Our Amazing CGS Staff

We are so proud of our CGS staff who pivoted to online learning with such short notice. Our students have settled into online learning seamlessly due to their dedication and efforts.

Amid all this, our teaching staff are committed to continuing their professional development. Administrative and teaching staff participated recently in a Growth Mindset Workshop with education consultants, Joy and Melissa.

A lot was covered during the workshop, from providing help for someone who may be emotionally dysregulated to offering direction to the advanced student. Not to be overlooked, was the importance of self-care for teachers as well. This has been a challenging time for us all and our teaching staff go beyond to such an extent that it’s easy to neglect caring for themselves.

Teaching staff also participated in a Anti-Black Racism Workshop earlier this week. Presented by Germaine and Joel at Inspiration Republic, staff and admin learned about some of the Black community history in Ontario, how to listen for and identify microaggressions and the importance of emphasizing empathy, relationship building and ‘Allyship’.
