Welcome to CGS

Your neighbourhood private school since 1986.

Online web 2020

Online learning at home.

“School is NOT closed for the year. The building is. If you listen closely you can hear the hum of hard-working teachers, administrators and support staff preparing to save the day in ways and means never seen before. Yes, we are broken-hearted, but these broken hearts will lead.”

In this unprecedented time of school building closures and social distancing, CGS is moving programming online. Teachers and students will remain connected and learning while we all adjust to this new reality. Our dedicated staff is throwing their hearts and souls into creating a new routine for students and families as quickly as possible. Our CGS Spirit has not been diminished, it has merely been relocated to home workspaces temporarily!

We look forward to returning to our school home as soon as we are able. In the meantime, we wish everyone a safe and healthy passage through these difficult times. We’re all in this together.

At CGS, we believe in a balanced approach for your child's education.

Our challenging, personalized academic curriculum is complemented by our exceptional arts, public speaking and physical education programming. We place a strong emphasis on character and cultural education and mindfulness.

Children usually come to us well before they can read and often before they can even hold a pencil. It is our privilege to nurture them through their early stages of learning - from reading their first book in JK to writing their first essay in Grade 3.

Our caring CGS staff is there to see that your child thrives academically and socially. Our small class sizes ensure no child falls through the cracks. Programming is structured yet flexible, to support students at all levels of their development.

The days are busy at CGS.

Along with our core curriculum, students study French, music, physical education, visual arts and mindfulness.

There are many ways for students to discover their special interests and talents outside the classroom at CGS. The calendar is packed with opportunities for students to build skill and confidence over time.

Here are some of the extras you'll find at CGS ~ monthly school-wide assemblies hosted by students, a fully produced musical, skating and ski days, student government elections, an annual science fair and public speaking contest and cross country and track and field championships. We also offer after school programs including Extended French (100% immersion), Robotics and Art.

We'd love to hear from you.
