Pink Shirt Day

The Pink Shirts were out in full force in Grade 1 on Wednesday for Pink Shirt Day. February 24th is set aside in Canada to foster anti-bullying awareness. It is all about tolerance, kindness and learning how to be an ‘upstander’ if you see someone being bullied. We’re so proud of the kids and all the work they’ve been doing all month for Black History/Black Futures and Pink Shirt Day ties right in. It is wonderful to see the children surrounded by so many positive messages. We are the Dream! The learning the children are doing now lays the foundation for a future filled with respect, acceptance and kindness.
