Principal’s Club: A Kid for Others
The CGS Principal’s Club is an important part of our school community. Each year, the students in Grade 1 and older are invited to join this group of their peers to work together as a kid for others. Under the guidance of Principal Marie, and together with teachers Michelle and Liz, the CGS Principal’s Club takes on initiatives to help those in our community, and an even wider reach to help those in need through The Olive Branch for Children in Tanzania.
This week, it was our pleasure to make sandwiches for the non-profit organization of Club Sandwich in the east end of Toronto. We’ve collaborated with Club Sandwich in years past and look forward to our continued contributions to this meaningful organization. Club Sandwich helps provide food to those in our own city who are in need.
Our resident yoga instructor, Mai is actively involved with Club Sandwich and each year, she assists the CGS Principal’s Club with the sandwich making tools and ingredients needed. Would you believe that this group made 148 cheese sandwiches in one-afterschool meeting!
