SK French Toast

The SK’s have had a very diverse week focussing on Canadian history and accomplishment. To get in the spirit for our Norval Sugar Bush field trip on Thursday, we had a lesson on the discovery and creation of sap to syrup by the First Nations People, almost 400 years ago. Our students were inspired by the brilliance and problem-solving skills of the First Nations People. They paid tribute to the celebration of this winter tradition with beautiful illustrations and meaningful connections. We made and enjoyed French toast to wrap up this enquiry and look forward to the spring and all the joy – and maple syrup – it will bring!
