SK Meditation

The SK class is off to a mindful and focused start to the school year through the support of their weekly guided meditations. Each week, the SK’s find themselves relaxed and breathing deeply as they take a few moments to ease their minds and bodies through guided meditation. With the help of a “breathing buddy” (stuffed toy), the SK’s watch as their tummies rise and fall with every breath while laying on their backs. Through their meditative practice, the children develop a sense of what a calm mind and body looks like, feels like, and sounds like; a valuable skill to have throughout their daily lives.

The SK’s are looking forward to more guided meditations throughout the school year and initiating their own meditative practices going forward!
