So Long 2018/19
The 2018/19 school year sped by so quickly! It was a whirlwind of drop-offs and pickups, high fives from Don, special events and performances, projects and progress. The CGS community as a whole accomplished so much. Thank you to our exceptional CGS staff for their endless creativity and dedication to bringing the best to their students. The classrooms were always humming. To our CGS parents – you did it! Another year of breakfasts on the run, costumes labelled and assemblies attended. Part of what makes CGS so special is how engaged we all are in making school life so full and fun. It takes a lot of energy and we thank you for supporting us to make it happen. We wish you all a long and restful summer. If you’re returning to CGS in the fall, we look forward to seeing you then. If this is your time to move on, good luck. We wish you all the best in your new schools and in some cases, new cities and new homes. We’ll be thinking of you and hope to see you back at school for our Alumni Open House on April 23, 2020. We hope you find time this summer to truly relax with your children. When it gets hard, remember Marie’s opening remarks from the assembly…
Parents, at this time please make sure that your cell phones are off, your hectic schedules are put on hold, and that your only concern right now is being completely and utterly present for these beautiful little people that you have been given the privilege of raising.
As for our final celebration of the year, it was a rainy one but we were cozy inside and free to mark the passing of the year in style. Congratualtions to all of our ribbon and award recipients! We are so proud of you. To our 2019 Graduates – we’ll miss you very much. A special thank you to the Ng Family for treating us all to icecream after the assembly. The rain didn’t make it any less tasty!
