Specialties at CGS: Art Educator
The Specialty Educators are an integral part of our CGS curriculum and community. Through language, music, drama, physical education, mindfulness and art, we empower children to communicate, represent, and express their thoughts, feelings, and perceptions. All of our specialties provide opportunities to enrich the child’s understanding of our world and the diverse cultures within it.
In our effort to spotlight our CGS Specialty Educators, today we’d like to introduce:
Marianna Esposito, Art Therapist, ECE
Hello, I’m Marianna Esposito, an Italian Artist Therapist, and Atelierista. My journey began at the Paolo Toschi Institute of Art where I discovered the transformative power of art in supporting and inspiring others, building on the positive experiences of those who came before me. I continued my academic path at the Academy of Fine Arts, Bologna, specializing in Communications and Teaching Art.
During my studies, I completed an internship at the Loris Malaguzzi International Center as an Atelierista. The successful outcome of this internship led to an extended collaboration with the Centre.
In 2019, I embraced the opportunity to work as an Atelierista at a school in Vietnam. Returning to Reggio Emilia in January 2020, I pursued a Master’s Degree in Artistic Therapy and Visual Arts while continuing my work with the International Center. In March 2023, I proudly graduated with my Master’s Degree, marking a significant milestone in my academic journey.
Eager to broaden my horizons, I decided to embark on a new adventure outside Italy, relocating to Canada. I also have a deep love for dogs and enjoy attending art performances and immersive experiences!
I’m thrilled to bring my expertise to CGS and look forward to collaborating with the staff to create meaningful and engaging art experiences for the students.
