Spirit Week

Magic Monday kicked off Spirit Week with a magical bang. It was a chilly day but magician BenTastic warmed everyone up with his amazing tricks and hilarious sense of humour. He had the children laughing and cheering for the whole show – no small feat to achieve virtually. Thank you BenTastic! Thank you to Marie too for inviting BenTastic to perform for us to make sure Spirit Week started off on such an exciting note.

Travel Tuesday was still a little cool so all the more reason to set off for our imaginary destinations – Disneyland, Hawaii, or wherever the Raptors were playing, there were so many places to go.

Wacky Wednesday was wonky and wacky indeed – crazy hair and crazy hats were everywhere. CGS heads were adorned with dinosaurs, hockey pucks, and donuts. Even Rapunzel made an appearance!

We wrapped up Spirit Week on Thankful Thursday with a day of Gratitude. Marie read a special story called Albert Le Blanc while the children had a Miss Vickies chip party. How cozy is that? And Sara A shared her Gratitude Jar, filled with things we are grateful for here at CGS.

A huge thank you to Sara A for all her hard work making sure the week was so packed with fun activities. (Shout out to Mani too for her daily Spirit Week Class Challenges.)

A highlight of the week was our daily dance party – we’ve never done this before. Our favourite was It’s a Beautiful Day by Michael BublĂ© on Thankful Thursday, so if you feel like a Family Dance Party this weekend, please take a listen.

Happy Long Weekend everyone!
