Spooktacular STEM

The Grade 1 class really got into the Halloween spirit this week during STEM. The students were paired up and given the challenge of designing a “spooktacular” spider web with play-dough. We were blown away not only by the creativity of the children but also by how cooperative they were while devising a plan and sharing and implementing their ideas. Each team took their own “spin” on the design and as a result the webs were all very unique. Our STEM periods are always such a wonderful time in our class; they have given our students a chance to develop and improve the invaluable skills of team work and collaboration.
