'Tis the season of giving!!" Our CGS school and community once again showcased the true spirit of generosity during our Annual Holiday Outreach. This year, our collective efforts were dedicated to supporting the South Asian Women's Centre and their inspiring "No Violence Against Women and Girls" project. The outpouring of support from our students, parents, teachers, and staff was truly heartwarming.
The success of our initiative was not only measured in the quantity of donations but in the impact they will have on those in need. We want to extend a big thank you to everyone involved for their unwavering support and dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
As a token of appreciation for the hard work and generosity displayed by our school community, we hosted a spectacular holiday celebration for the entire school! The fun-filled after school party was a testament to the unity and kindness that defines our school.
Our big after school celebration was a magical event filled with laughter, joy, and lots of festive cheer. The highlight of the evening was having our whole school together, where students and staff all showcased the spirit of the holidays in their coziest and most festive holiday PJs! From a holiday dance party, to interactive holiday stations, and pizza, this holiday celebration was one to remember.
Our staff organized such amazing interactive stations for all our students to participate in. At one station , everyone tried their hands at gingerbread cookie decorating. At another, imaginations ran wild as children crafted winter wonders with paper, glue, and glitter. Everyone was put to the test with word puzzle sheets to keep their minds buzzing with holiday-themed puzzles. Last but not least, we had a play dough sculpturing table where our little CGS artists shaped their winter and holiday fantasies into reality!
We take immense pride in our school's commitment to giving back to the community. The sense of unity and purpose that comes from working together towards a common goal is truly remarkable. Our Annual Holiday Outreach is not just about collecting donations; it's about instilling values of empathy, compassion, and social responsibility in the hearts of our students.
It's worth noting that our commitment to charitable causes doesn't end with this year's success. Every year, we carefully select a different charitable organization to support, ensuring a broad and meaningful impact on various causes. This tradition not only teaches our students about the diverse needs of the community but also instills in them a lifelong commitment to making the world a better place.
As we wrap up another successful CGS Annual Holiday Outreach, we reflect on the warmth and joy that radiated throughout our school community. Through our collective efforts, we not only made a tangible difference in the lives of those supported by the South Asian Women's Centre but also created lasting memories for our students. The spirit of giving is alive and well at our school, and we look forward to continuing this tradition of compassion and generosity in the years to come.
Thank you to our staff members Paula, Liz, and Tinku for organizing such an amazing event! We can not wait till net years!
