Swimming with a Twist
The Grade 1 to 4 classes had their 5th swimming lesson at the Holland-Bloorview Pool this week. On Wednesday the lessons took an interesting twist. The swimmers wore their regular clothes into the pool for the lesson, minus their socks and shoes. The idea of the lesson is to make everyone aware of the feeling of being in water when fully dressed. It’s an important lesson to learn, as in a real-life setting, this is the most likely scenario. All the students had so much fun swimming with their clothes and lifejackets on. It will definitely increase everyone’s confidence in the water in the future. Only 5 more lessons to go for this year!
