Terry Fox Walk Preparations
Getting Ready for the Terry Fox Walk
CGS is busy getting ready for the Terry Fox Walk next week! The Terry Fox Walk is so important to the CGS community and we are looking forward to participating as a school once again. Our JK class has been working hard learning all about Terry Fox and his incredible legacy. They have also been making buttons to wear on Terry Fox day. Each student worked hard to design their own button using pencil crayons and pictures of Terry Fox which they glued on to their button. Make sure to check them out on the day of the walk!
The JK students have also been working on a special painting project in preparation for next week. Students used sponges to create large painted pages in a variety of colours. These pages are being used to create an extra large work of art. We are excited to see the final results of their hard work at the Terry Fox Walk next week!
The Terry Table
Did you check out the Terry Table? This table contained objects that were important to or represented Terry Fox. Having objects and specific pictures gives students the opportunity to ask questions and develop a deeper understanding of what Terry Fox did and why his impact has been so deep and lasting.
