Thank You Parents!
We are so fortunate to have so many wonderful parents at CGS eager to share their cultural traditions with the children. Our Lunar New Year celebrations on Tuesday were marked by several special visits. It is so exciting for the children to see their mums and dads on the screen at school. Parents read stories and shared interesting facts about the new year – what food is lucky, why we wear red, why the new year is determined by the moon and much, much more. Parents also shared their special family traditions, including making dumplings and ‘Dduk Guk’ (Korean rice cake soup) for Korean New Year. Thank you, parents – your contributions made the day so special for all of us.
