The 2018/19 PA is Underway
The Parent Association is already busy planning the year ahead! Thank you to everyone who came out to the first meeting of the year on Wednesday. The new evening meeting time of 5-6pm was a success. Three long term CGS mums were able to attend a PA meeting for the first time! All parents are automatically members of the PA, the more the merrier, so please join this great group of parents and find out how you may be able to contribute to the school life of your child. There are jobs big and small and any contribution is very welcome. Complimentary childcare is provided for every meeting.
The first PA fundraiser of the year launches on Monday. Please watch for your QSP Magazine Package. There are great magazines for kids including Owl, Chirp, Sports Illustrated for Kids and more. Order your Christmas and birthday presents early! We recommend you order online at QSP.ca. Our group online ID is 3743713. Thank you in advance for supporting your Parent Association.
All monies raised by the PA go towards great events for the children at school and for our school community. See below for what is already in the works.
Please mark your calendars for Monday, Sept 24, 6-7:30. The PA is extremely pleased to be welcoming Anthony Maclean back to CGS for his Bullying & Conflict Workshop for parents. He will be running a workshop for the JK-Grade 4 students the following day. The Early Start students are a bit young for his presentation, so the PA has invited Arts Express to present their Cultivating Kindness Workshop to our youngest students.
Childcare and a light supper will be provided for the evening. Dinner will be served at 5:30.

The PA is also very pleased to be welcoming back the To Be Determined Theatre Company to present their version of The Paper Bag Princess in February.
They performed Jillian Jiggs for the children last year and it was amazing!
