The Paper Bag Princess

Prince Ronald and a full cast of Robert Munsch characters made an appearance at CGS this week. The JK-Grade 4 classes were treated to an amazing production of The Paper Bag Princess by the To Be Determined Theatre Company. Thank you to the PA for sponsoring this theatrical event for the children. It was fantastic! The sets and costumes were wonderful and the children were thrilled by the interactive spirit of the actors. They played ukulele, piano and guitar and asked for the the help of audience members to play egg shakers when it was time for the horse skeleton dance. The moral of the story: clothes definitely don’t make the Princess! The Paper Bag Princess won the day, and rescued Prince Ronald from the dragon, by being brave and facing her fears, not because she was the best dressed Princess. The show was a perfect tie-in to our February Character trait Bravery.
