Tree Top Trekking

One Final field trip hoorah was for the whole school to enjoy! This year we had our full CGS student body from Early Start to Grade 4 adventure together to Bruce Mill Conservation Park for some Tree Top Trekking fun.

Even though it was quite a wet day with the weather not cooperating the best for us, our students still had fun exploring the Tree Top Grounds and play areas. It was definitely a hiker’s dream playing field.

Our students had access to explore the Tree Walk Village, a giant outdoor jungle gym. They were Pioneering Forest Explorers climbing from tree house to tree house through tall hammocks, nets, and wood bridges!  They trekked through the outdoor jungle gym on slides, played on the Treewee obstacle courses and played other teambuilding forest games.

Some of the older grades had access to some more challenging Discovery Kid Courses. This was an area where they could test their balance as they explored the junior aerial courses. Safely connected in every course they ventured through the junior area filled with wood bridges, balance logs, net walkways, and mini ziplines all suspended 3-5 ft off the ground! They ended their day with an indoor classroom “picnic” lunch.
