Welcome to our new CGS teachers!

This year we welcome 4 new teachers to the CGS community! We are so excited to have them with us and look forward to learning and growing with them. They have great energy, warmth and a passion for teaching, all the things that CGS holds dear.

Cheryl Fan comes from an ECE and Montessori teacher background and brings many years of experience with her to CGS. She joins the Early Start team this year. When Cheryl is not teaching, she enjoys music and hiking. She is excited to work with our youngest students in the school.

Tania Griffith is also joining the Early Start community. She completed her ECE degree at Sheridan College and also has Montessori Toddler Training. She brings 17 years of teaching experience with her to CGS. In her spare time, she loves to garden and play music. The school is eager to have her experience and talents enhance our Early Start Programming.

Tony Wright is our new Phys Ed and Mind Up teacher. He has a passion for physical activity, and it is evident through the amount of basketball he plays and coaches throughout the week. Seven days a week you will find Tony on a basketball court! Now that’s passion! A fun fact about Tony is that he has a huge sneaker collection that he is very proud of. We know we will have lots of fun, learning and new adventures with Tony!

Angela Lobo will be working with the SK class and also as our Special Education Resource Teacher. She comes from Kingston, Ontario where she received her undergraduate and Bachelors of Education at Queen’s University. This is her second full year teaching and she continues to learn more about Special Education and how to best support her students.

We are incredibly fortunate to have these exceptional teachers on our 2021/22 staff this year. Please welcome them all to our CGS community. We know they will all be great assets to our school!
