Japanese Inspired Polka Dots

This month our CGS Grade 1 artists learned about Japanese contemporary pop-art artist, Yayoi Kusama. She was known for her colourful works of art incorporating polka dot patterns. Inspired by the artist and by the changing leaves of fall, we painted these colourful dotty leaves in her style. Our class got creative and used q-tips, corks, pom poms and label stickers to make dot stamps. The beautiful pop art leaves they painted look so cheerful and happy on our wall! Make sure to pay a visit to the art board downstairs, just outside the gym.
