Grade 2-4 Spotlight

Our grade 2-4 class has been busy this week! They started the week with a STEM activity based on their inquiry into simple machines. The students built cars using wooden clothes pegs, straws and buttons. The class worked hard to make their cars functional and the results were great!

Later in the week, the class started preparing for Lunar New Year. They were lucky to have two classmates teach them some numbers in Mandarin. The students took turns practicing their newly learned numbers on the board and on paper, then they tried some simple math questions using their new skills. We feel so fortunate to have wonderful student teachers in our class!
