Pot o’ Gold

The Grade 1’s created these beautiful rainbows with watercolours and pastel just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. They used a watercolour resist to create a mist of clouds in the sky as they appear after a rainfall. They were careful to include all seven colours in order for the rainbow using the acronym ROYGBIV.

R- Red
O-orange
Y-yellow
G- Green
B- Blue
I- Indigo
V – Violet

The children also learned all about clovers and how four-leaf clovers are considered lucky. See if you can spot some four-leafed ones in these fields. One of our artists even included a five-leafed super lucky clover! Our picture was completed with a pot of gold waiting for us at the end of the rainbow. Just like in life, you can’t have a rainbow without a little rain.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
