Valentine’s Day 2023

Our CGS Hearts were FULL this Valentine’s Day!! This year’s Valentine’s Day was a whole lot of fun! Full of treats in the classrooms from friends and teachers, and at our Teddy Bear Picnic Party hosted by the Principals Club. The whole school was full of love, happiness, and most of all warm-hearted kindness.

Valentine’s Day isn’t just a day for romantic love, it is a day to spread love and kindness to everyone: friends, family, community and those in need. All of our students and staff here at CGS certainly are experts in just that!

Thank you to the CGS Principal’s Club for hosting our Valentines Day Teddy Bear Picnic Party! Our whole student body enjoyed getting together to share the love of Teddy Bears and stuffies, story time, crafts and of course ice cream!

All of us at CGS could not be prouder of our community for raising over $2500 in donations for The Olive Branch for Children in Tanzania! We are so happy to give back to an organization that helps assess the primary needs of different communities and establish programs that target the most vulnerable in those communities. They focus on community health care, HIV/AIDS prevention and care, early childhood education, food security, environmental issues, gender equality, and vulnerable children and women. The goal is to establish community-led programs that empower remote communities and generate models that can be replicated in communities throughout Tanzania and elsewhere. All of the kind donations collected will go directly to aid in this organization’s overall goal! Thank you to everyone who donated!

We also enjoyed celebrations in our classrooms! We had so many kind and loving gifts brought in from students for their classmates and teachers, along with Valentine’s Day inspired crafts and snacks!

We hope everyone had a wonderful day full of love, just as our school did!
