A Hanukkah Extravaganza
This morning, our school was buzzing with excitement as we gathered for a spectacular Hanukkah celebration that brought the spirit of the festival alive in the most delightful way possible!
The festivities kicked off with a mesmerizing concert by the talented Mark Feldman, whose musical expertise transported us into the heart of the Hanukkah story. Through a harmonious blend of storytelling and song, Mark not only educated us about the significance of Hanukkah but also had us singing along to an array of fantastic Jewish tunes. It was an immersive experience that left everyone humming the melodies of some of the fan favourites long after the concert ended. Marks amazing performances got everyone in such great spirits that his concert turned into a great big Hanukkah dance party where our CGS students and teachers celebrated the Festival of Lights with enthusiasm together.
To keep the celebration going, our school all took part in a creative crafting session, making Hanukkah-inspired lanterns that illuminated the gym with their warmth and creativity. The ambiance of the gym was filled with laughter and joy from all of our students expressing their creativity in the fun spirit of our Hanukkah celebration.
And what’s a party without a treat? Our taste buds were treated to a special Kosher delight from Amazing Donuts, adding a deliciously sweet note to our Hanukkah festivities! White and blue delicious donuts and their yummy freshly baked aroma mingled with the happiness of the event brought a hum of delight across all the students.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated teachers Ami, Karen and Melissa, who orchestrated this incredibly memorable event, by bringing Hanukkah to life within the walls of our school. Their hard work and commitment made it possible for us to not only learn about the rich traditions of Hanukkah but also to experience them in the most fun and engaging way!
As we reflect on this festive morning, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to come together, celebrate diversity, and create lasting memories. This Hanukkah celebration will undoubtedly be etched in our minds as a shining example of the magic that happens when music, art, and our CGS community spirit come together.
